Welcome to Hope Mountain Fine Jewelry. My name is Kelly Costin Demuth. I live and work in a beautiful rural area of southern Oregon nestled in the Siskiyou mountain range at the base of lovely little Mount Hope. Of all the places I have lived and visited, Oregon has my heart, and Hope Mountain has cradled my creativity for nearly 20 years.
I have always been a maker. I am inspired by all the ways humans choose to adorn themselves. I try to infuse my art with color, sparkle, botanicals and sacred geometry. I try to create items with my own two hands.
I am always pushing myself to learn and try new things. I have been making jewelry in one form or another for the majority of my life. I apprenticed with a jeweler while in college and have since taken my skills forward to include the labor intensive art of hand engraving and stone setting.
I believe that jewelry can be medicine for the wearer. Whether it is the properties in the gemstones or the sentiment infused into the piece with pictures or words, your jewelry should feel good to wear physically and energetically.

The natural beauty of Hope Mountain and the Siskiyou wilderness shapes every piece I create, from sweeping mountain vistas to delicate wildflower details.
Hand engraving is to some considered a lost or dying art form. It is a time consuming process as each element of the design is carried out by hand with special tools that must be sharpened and maintained by a human frequently during the process.
The results are worth it—each design is completely unique to the individual piece of jewelry and the artist. This technique is alive and well in my studio, where I dedicate countless hours to perfecting this ancient craft.
Every line, every curve, every detail is carved by hand, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
